Circle Economy announces a leadership change. Hilde van Duijn, currently Managing Director, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), succeeding Ivonne Bojoh. Ivonne has served as CEO since 2023, following her earlier roles as Director of Digital and Chief Operating Officer.
Hilde van Duijn joined Circle Economy in 2018. Since then, Hilde has led multiple projects focused on the valorisation of post-consumer textiles. From 2018 to 2020, Hilde managed the Interreg NWE Fibersort project, leading a consortium spanning multiple steps of the end-of-use value chain for textiles. As project lead for Sorting for Circularity Europe, she worked closely with Fashion for Good to map the recyclability of post-consumer textiles in six European countries. She also drove Circle Economy's work in the EU-funded Switch to Circular Economy Value Chains project, which aims to build circular economy capacity in producing countries within global value chains.
In 2024, Hilde was promoted to Managing Director of Circle Economy Foundation, spearheading our collaborations with governments and institutions to accelerate the circular transition.
Before joining Circle Economy, Hilde led impact initiatives in the textiles and cotton sectors, advised governments and international organisations, and forged cross-industry partnerships worldwide.
