SOLSTICE: Territory Profile Berlin

The SOLSTICE project aims to address the key social, environmental and technical challenges posed by the textile industry through a circular economy lens. Funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme, SOLSTICE is taking steps towards a circular textile industry through the implementation of pilot projects in four territories: Berlin, Grenoble, Catalonia, and Prato. The project will showcase how circular economy practices can be tailored to and implemented across the textile industry.

In collaboration with the EU territories, Circle Economy led a current state analysis of the textile ecosystem, including current circular practices. This analysis provides insight into areas where immediate action is needed and informs the selection of relevant circular practices in each of the four territories.
